Our last blog discussed the client who didn’t want to spend the money to hire a lawyer despite the fact that he was really injured, had lost time from work, and had extensive medical bills. That got us to thinking about how prospective clients view hiring a lawyer. For many people, just the thought of suing someone causes distress. Over and over, we hear people tell us that they are not ” sue happy”….as if exercising your legal rights is something to be ashamed of. If you think about it, where does that idea come from ? Bingo ! The massive propaganda of the insurance industry. It seems incredible but the insurance industry has actually made seeking justice a bad thing  and something to fear.
